It's hard to believe that Barbie is 50 years old! We all have our fond memories of her. Mine is when I received my first Barbie for Christmas. She was called Fashion Queen Barbie and she came with three wigs.
I lost all interest in baby dolls -- Barbie was so "grown up!" I played Barbies for hours on end with my friends Philippe and Jan. My favourite dress was called "Solo in the Spotlight." I have a replica of the original, which became a legend in our family history -- especially for me and my sister, Arlette:
